Today we show the works by Paco Feria (Terrassa, 1960). This photojournalist, who has been working since the 90s, has depicted the places in the world where life has a provisional and precarious component that are less frequent in the countries we call developed. He started with Mitch hurricane, disaster that he also reflected in his first book about Nicaragua (Nicaragua: La eterna esperanza) and he’s also worked in Afghanistan, Algerian Sahara and Chiapas, among other countries around the world. In a most familiar side, we find a condemnation format like his work on the Prestige disaster: “S.O.S marea negra en Galicia”, and collaborations in a more institutionalized way, like his pictures for the book “Sant Boi ciutat singular”.
Presently, Paco Feria still works in the sphere of social photography, in an activity that he cannot and he doesn’t want to give up.
